  • Notes:

Imagine: From the perspective of a student the advice I would give is:

Students need to be prepared for “Hard Work” and to impress upon them that they need to be role models to the children. I would describe the setting of the placement and description (briefly) of what to expect. Must explain clearly to students what qualities they require and to discuss dress code, type of work involved and the expectations that the nursery would expect from them. Finally they must interact with the children and follow policies, procedures etc. importantly they must respect all the people that they come into contact with.

Summarise: The things I have found beneficial from the day(s) in the work environment are:

The links that are required for the delivering of unit 1 GCSE Health and Social Care ad how there will assist un the delivery of specialist Diplomas. Able to understand more clearly the care value base. By being part of work force for two days it has given me clearer understanding of the setting and the benefits of good Nursing Care. Realized how to work in order to be a competent carer.
